My Future Career as a Theatre Arts Practitioner

Ten years from now, I see myself as a successful and respected theatre arts practitioner, using drama as a powerful tool for education, entertainment, and social change. I envision working both on stage and behind the scenes, producing plays and performances that reflect the culture, history, and everyday realities of people in Modakeke and beyond.

To achieve this goal, I plan to study theatre arts professionally, participate actively in workshops, stage productions, and creative collaborations, and gain practical experience through community theatres and cultural festivals. I will continuously develop my skills in acting, directing, scriptwriting, and stage management, while also embracing modern media such as film and digital theatre.

My passion for storytelling, creativity, and teamwork has shaped my aspiration for this career. Growing up in Modakeke, I have witnessed how drama can educate people, preserve cultural values, and address social issues. These experiences have inspired me to use theatre to promote unity, moral values, and positive change in society.

Although challenges such as limited funding and recognition may arise, I plan to overcome them through resilience, innovation, and continuous learning. As a theatre arts practitioner, I hope to empower young talents in Modakeke, create employment opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to cultural development and social awareness in Nigeria.
