Essay
In ten years, I see myself working as a Navy officer, Commanding ships and sub marines, leading teams of sailors, Tactical plannings and executions communication and liaison, Navigation, training and mentoring sailors. Navy is a branch of a country, armed forces that operates at sea, responsible for maritime defense, security and protection of national interest, I chose this career for those following reasoning. Sense of patriotism adventure and travel opportunities, discipline and leadership development unique work experience and skills.
I see Navy as a way to serve my country and secure a stable career. What inspired me the most about Navy is the career advancement and the professional growth, sense of pride and networking opportunities for adventurer and travels and also my interest in maritime security and defense. The experience that shaped my dreams towards Navy include my family’s ties to the military as well as my sense of patriotism and national pride, and my love for adventure and thrill-seeking. The leadership and discipline, I have observed, along with the values that guide the navy, have also influenced my dreams. These values include loyalty and duty, honor and integrity, teamwork, and camaraderie.
To achieve this goal of becoming a Navy officer, I must have a minimum of 5 o’level credits including math and English. I must choose a relevant subject like economics, government and CRS since I am an art student. I must prepare physically by engaging myself in sports, and physical activities to build endurance and stamina. In developing my leadership skills, I will join organizations, I must stay informed by the following naval news and update, and history. To prepare myself fully for the entrance examination SSCE, JAMB and NDA entrance exam gaining admission into one of these school to study Navy to makes my dream turn into reality, Nigeria Navy University (NNU) okerenkoko, Delta state and Nigeria Defense Academy ( NDA) kaduna
Due to my family ties with the military, I may face several challenges in the navy, including physical demands, security and clearance requirements, discipline, and strict routines. To overcome these obstacles, I need to stay fit and healthy, build endurance and stamina, stay organized and focused, concentrate on mission goals, believe in myself, and be honest and trans-concentrate on mission goals, believe in myself, and be honest and transparent.
Navy career can greatly benefit our community in many ways, like protection of Nigeria water and trade routes conservation of mariner eco-system, I will make positive impact to the community by doing the following’s leading community outreach program like education, monitoring youth, supporting local businesses, As a navy officer, my commitment to excellence will be meeting challenges and achieve my goal efficiently, my father told me that “excellence is a cane value for naval service” finally “ with pride and purpose I commit to serving Nigeria with honor, courage and excellence, I am ready to lead, while making a positive impact on my community”
