Essay
In the next ten years, I see myself becoming a successful pharmacist, manufacturing,
preparing and managing drugs for hospitals. I have loved to be a pharmacist since when I
was a child, what inspired me was the illness of my maternal grandmother, she was
diagnosed with a neurological disorder and she was given many medications, but none were
effective. She passed away because the drugs could not treat the diseases.
After my secondary education, I aim to score high mark and meet the cut off mark for
studying pharmacy in Obafemi Awolowo University which is two hundred and twenty and
above, I am going to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and possibly Doctorate degree
because of lack of fund, after that I am going to gain practical experience through internships
and hospital rotations. After that I am going to join a professional organization and attend
conferences. I plan to use my profession to provide quality pharmaceutical services, I am
going to contribute to research on Nigeria health issues, and develop new products or
services or improve existing ones. Even with limited resources, I am going to struggle to
make sure drugs from my industry is effective, affordable and available.
To crown all, I love to be a geriatric pharmacist to be specific not because of money but for
the passion I have for older adults.
