In ten years, I imagine myself as a highly skilled cybersecurity professional dedicated to protecting people, organisations, and the nation from digital threats. My passion for this field comes from seeing how cybercrime, especially among young people, has become common. I want to be a strong “anti-Yahoo” force, helping to reduce internet fraud and guiding youths toward better paths. My dream is not just to succeed personally, but to make a positive impact on society by promoting honesty, safety, and responsible use of technology.
To achieve this, my first step is to study Cybersecurity at the tertiary level, where I will build a strong foundation in network security, ethical hacking, and digital forensics. During my studies, I plan to work as an intern in a bank. This experience will allow me to understand how financial transactions flow, how fraud occurs, and how security systems are monitored and protected. It will also expose me to real-life challenges and deepen my problem-solving skills.
After completing my degree, I intend to join a reputable cybersecurity or tech security agency in Nigeria. My goal is to help protect sensitive data, strengthen security systems, and prevent hackers from gaining access to important information. I also hope to contribute to national efforts against cybercrime by supporting awareness programs and helping young people understand the dangers of internet fraud.
In the future, I see myself not just as a cybersecurity expert, but as someone helping to build a safer digital environment for everyone
