My Chosen Career: Law
My name is Akinade Selim, and I have chosen Law as my future career because I am passionate about justice, fairness, and defending the rights of people. Law is a profession that requires courage, discipline, and integrity, and I believe these qualities reflect who I am and who I aspire to become.
From a young age, I have always been interested in understanding rules, resolving conflicts, and speaking up when something is wrong. Becoming a lawyer gives me the opportunity to turn these natural interests into a meaningful profession. Lawyers play a vital role in society by promoting justice, protecting the innocent, and ensuring that everyone is treated fairly under the law.
I chose this career because I want to be part of building a society where truth and justice are upheld. A lawyer is not just someone who argues in court, but someone who guides people, gives sound advice, and helps maintain peace and order. The legal profession will also allow me to develop important skills such as critical thinking, research, communication, and problem-solving.
Studying law will expose me to different areas such as human rights, criminal law, property law, and constitutional law. This gives me the chance to specialize in the aspect I am most passionate about. Most importantly, a career in law gives me the platform to make a positive impact in my community and nation.
In choosing law, I am choosing a future where I can stand for justice, defend the helpless, and contribute to a better society.
