My Future Career
My name is Olufemi Mercy Oluwatomi. I am a science student of Adventist Secondary school, Ile-Ife and I plan to be a medical doctor in the future. I plan to heighten my pace to do well in my academics and most importantly in my forthcoming WAEC examination. I am aware Medicine is a competitive and a professional course, so I would engage myself in studying diligently in order to ace my results and gain admission to a reputable university.
The impact I aspire to make in my chosen field is to contribute to the area of research and assisting the indigent ail people to recover through my foundation.
I have seen people lose their lives because they couldn’t pay their hospital bills and it saddens my heart and makes compassion wells up in my heart.
This experience also happens when medical personnel in government hospital go on strikes leaving poor patients to the mercy of private hospital whose hospital bills are exorbitant.
I plan to contribute to the medical practice by establishing a foundation to aid the hospital bills for the less privileged in the society and to help them with free consultations.
The foundation would also help in sensitisation of market people, the community and schools on the importance of cleanliness and maintaining a good hygiene to make our community a better place to be.
Thank you.
